Hi! I’m Curt and I’m currently hiking the Pacific Crest Trail from Mexico to Canada – 2650 miles! – and I plan to finish sometime around early October. This blog is for any folks back home who want to follow my progress.

(work in progress) Day 19, 6/4 Still feeling bad from noro Silverwood lake Cajon Pass Fruit vendor McDonalds Memorial bench Swarthout Canyon Day 20, 6/5 Climb into Wrightwood 5000 ft, kicked my ass Started too late, stuck with sun the whole way Ran out of water, ate some snow Acorn trail, 3mi into town, steep downhill Stayed with Mandy, her son, and dogs Met Wayback and Hoo They shared pizza and beer Day 21, 6/6 Breakfast at Mandy’s – waffle, eggs, watermelon Resupply, eat a pint of ice cream Hitch out of Wrightwood, skip 6 mi Mt Baden-Powell Met Graffiti Little Jimmy Day 22, 6/7 Frog bypass – road walk on Hwy 2 to avoid area where endangered Yellow Mountain Frog is common....
Day 15, 5/31 I slept in at Kenny’s place, and Kenny made us some giant breakfast burritos. We drove into town for a resupply, where I proceeded to buy way too much food. Me and Kenny Tamir and I got back to the trail pretty late in the day at 1pm. The trail was still pretty easy and mostly downhill, so I managed to get in over 20 miles before dark and camp at Little Bear Stream Camp....
Day 9, 5/25 I slept great at the Idyllwild Inn. They’d just rennovated their sister location. I got a huge bed, giant jaccuzzi-style tub, and laundry service. It was a hectic morning getting out of town. I slept in a little, and made some time to work on this blog. I made a last minute run to the store to pick up some toothpaste, and then went to get breakfast at the Red Kettle....
Work in Progress – Writing these is pretty time consuming, and I just haven’t had enough time to work on it. I’m planning to expand on the bullet points and add photos. Expect future posts to be shorter, since there won’t be as much to explain. Day 0, 5/16 After a restless night of camping in my newly emptied apartment, I packed the few remaining articles into my car, took a deep breath, and began the drive down to San Diego....
